How we work
A scanner is a floor. A person checks keyboard, reading order, names, and meaning. The file is dated. The next release can change the result.
How a job runs
- Automated testing. A scanner reads the named pages or screens and lists the failures it can see. That list is a floor. It is not the whole result.
- Human verification. A person checks keyboard use, reading order, names, and meaning. The scanner does not do that part.
- Evidence left behind. You keep a dated findings file. When a test is finished, the line on it names the standard and the date, for example: tested against WCAG 2.1 AA on [date]; findings attached.
- Fixed price. The number on the offer is the price. Scope is the named product, site, or page set, written down before work starts.
What these words mean
- Tested against WCAG 2.x AA on [date]
- Automated checks and a human pass ran on the named pages, screens, or files on that date. You get the findings.
- Findings
- The barriers found, where they are, and which WCAG success criterion each one fails.
- Automated scan
- A floor, not a verdict. Scanners catch some barriers and miss others, which is why a person checks keyboard use, reading order, names, and meaning.
- What a report is not
- A test records what was found on a date. The file does not say the product meets a standard. The next release can change the result.
- What stays yours
- You decide what to fix and what to publish. We do not publish on your site, sign for you, or file anything with an agency.
